I’m still on Christmas vacation… and traveling to Los Angeles …. eating as I please, cookies and celebrating the holidays has wreaked havoc on my body. I knew as I ate chocolate cookies and flan from my Mom and our native Babinka dessert…, that there would be consequences and I would have to pay.
I checked my weight this morning… and I’ve gained 5 pounds but technically 10 if I count where I want to be at. Now 5 pounds may not seem like a lot but if it’s those last 5 that seem impossible to keep off then yes, this will be difficult. Waking up at 10:00 a.m. every morning, not working out … but I was running around like a mad chicken for a week buying Christmas gifts, wrapping, etc. still should count for something I suppose. Well, all the wrapping is over and it’s time to get fit. I don’t want to get back to work and the gym and look like a bloated pig. So this morning I went to my incognito gym… the other gym where none of my friends are… and walked uphill on the treadmill at level 30 for 30 minutes which burned according to the machine 650 calories. I stayed an additional 15 for good faith, not letting myself off the hook at level 9 burning a total of 750 calories. Ok, it’s a start.
My goal is always to look toned and fit. I was trying to slim down in 2012 and actually reached 118 lbs but my body teetered around 120-125 lbs. Now with 5 more pounds I’ve got some serious work to do.
I have approximately 8 vacation days left including weekends to shape up. What this means is shape up so that I don’t die in my regular fitness classes at my real gym.
This morning’s breakfast was a nutri-grain waffle with peanut butter and a decaf coffee with unsweetened creamer, sweet and low and unsweetened chocolate. The rest of the day should consist of 5 small meals, mostly protein…
